Cinema 4D R12

Listen up motion heads.Maxon’s Cinema 4D R12 is out with some very cool new features like soft body dynamics, linear workflow, mesh deformer and some new dynamics systems like motors, springs and connectors. This should produce quite a few interesting results from motion designers who have chosen Cinema 4D as their 3d tool.

Greyscale Gorilla has a nice breakdown of the new features with some sweet test animations.

1000 FPS Canon 7D

So you’ve got a fancy new DSLR with video features, but can’t shoot slow motion video?
Oton Bačar shows off how you can do that with the impressive Twixtor plugin from RE:Vision Effects.
Oton has taken 60 fps footage from a Canon 7D and spun up to 1000 fps in After Effects. Very impressive!

Maxim Zhestkov

maximzhestkov
Maxim Zhestkov is a 22 year old director and designer from Ulyanovsk, Russia. He loves the universe, infinity, black and white, space and long walks on the beach. Very impressive 3d experiments and some pretty cool toys coming out from Kaching Brands…
And for you 3d tech geeks out there, from what I can gather from his Flickr comments, he is using 3DS Max with V-ray and some Next Limit RealFlow magic to make these. Very impressive use of all three packages…
